| The Town of Garner has a rich history of talent which was celebrated on November 18, 2011 with the unveiling of a mural by the twins at the high school campus. Honored at the event were country music star Scotty McCreery, '93 Final 4 MVP Donald Williams, NBA Allstar David West, legendary star of the '87 championship team Anthony Barbour, retired Cincinnati Reds outfielder Pat Watkins, legendary coaches Hal Stewart and Eddie Gray, and former Pittsburgh Steeler Eric Williams.
